Hi I’m Allé
the artist behind mushroom maiden pottery
Pottery found me during a time when I was searching for home — not just a place to live, but a way to feel grounded in the world. Working with clay became that home. The first time I sat at the wheel, something clicked. The rhythm of my hands, the hum of the wheel, the way raw earth could transform through touch and fire — it all felt ancient and familiar, like I’d done it before.
Over time, the studio became my anchor. Clay taught me patience, presence, and trust — that even when things collapse or crack, they can be remade. It gave me purpose: to create with intention, to make something lasting and meaningful with my own two hands.
The name Mushroom Maiden comes from the same place — a love of the forest, of the quiet, hidden beauty that thrives beneath the surface. My pieces carry that feeling with them: earthy, imperfect, and full of life. Each one is made slowly and thoughtfully, meant to bring warmth and comfort into the simple moments — your morning coffee, your evening tea, the meal shared with someone you love.
Making pottery is how I come home to myself, and how I hope to share a sense of home with others.
Thank you for being here — it means more than you know.
With love,
Allé May

Clay reminds me to return — to stillness, to the earth, to myself. Each vessel begins as a handful of clay and becomes something that holds warmth, story, and care. In this way, pottery feels like both a homecoming and a prayer — a quiet promise to keep creating beauty from the things we are dealt.
